Our program

Full-spectrum school health — not just band-aids.

A real clinical program that handles 90% of what walks into a nurse's office, plus scheduled preventive and chronic care — without pulling kids out of school.

Staffing model
Female RN
Grades K – 4
Age-matched for youngest learners; warm, parent-first bedside manner.
Male RN
Grades 5 – 9
Matched to the age and modesty norms of middle-school boys.
Two nurses. Every day.

Matched by age, gender, and community.

Kids get real care from someone they trust. A female RN covers grades K–4, a male RN covers grades 5–9 — both credentialed BSNs, both on-site the full school day.

  • BSN-credentialed with school-health or ED experience.
  • Community-matched — recruited with cultural and modesty norms in mind.
  • Physician-supervised with weekly clinical rounds and continuing education.
  • Backed by a float nurse so coverage never drops, even during PTO.
What we deliver

Four layers of care — on one cadence.

Daily presence plus scheduled preventive rounds means things don't fall through the cracks.

Layer 1
Every day

Daily acute care

The everyday stuff a school nurse handles, now done well on-site — so parents aren't called for every low-grade fever.

  • Sick visits, fevers, headaches, stomach complaints
  • Wound care — cleaning, dressing, sutures triaged
  • Strep & flu rapid testing, URI assessment
  • Medication administration (PRN & scheduled)
  • Triage, parent notification, provider referral when needed
Layer 2
Monthly

Behavioral health rounds

Structured monthly reviews for kids on ADHD medication — so treatment decisions happen with a clinician, not in parking-lot conversations.

  • ADHD medication reviews with parent input
  • Height, weight, and side-effect tracking
  • Coordination with prescribing providers
  • Behavioral check-ins for identified students
Layer 3
Every 8 weeks

Chronic care management

Continuous support for the kids who need the most follow-through — so parents aren't the only ones tracking it.

  • Asthma action plans, inhaler technique, peak-flow trends
  • Allergy and EpiPen readiness
  • Diabetes monitoring in coordination with endocrinology
  • Care plan updates shared with parents and prescribers
Layer 4
Quarterly

Preventive screenings

The visits that get skipped when parents are busy — now delivered at school, documented, and sent home.

  • Sports participation clearances
  • Vision & hearing screens
  • BMI trending and obesity counseling
  • Immunization status review and reminder outreach
Parent portal

Parents see everything, in real time.

Every visit is logged, every note shared, every message delivered. No more "the nurse called, but I didn't catch what happened."
